Novice, "newbie". Now somewhat of an internet joke, this probably originated as a condescending insult aimed at new people that other users didn't know very well.
A word from old users who like to think
they are insulting those who are new to
whatever they have been spending years
on.
Usually having to do with MMORPG's where
asking any question about anything gets
the "damn noobs" response. Comment by: Scrungy Rated:5/5
"'I hate when mimes get in your face and don't say anything.' 'Yeah, I usually kick them in the nads and they say something. Usually it's: ooh...unh...aahh.'" [from the Movie Beavis & Butthead by Beavis & Butthead]
"Wolfman's got nards." [from the Movie Monster Squad by Fred Dekker]
Shouldn't this be "Nads" not
"Nards"? Comment by: Coops Rated:1/5

bethan kt aimee and kimbaluxx Comment by: katie Rated:1/5
Acually "nards" is quite the popular
term for testicles amongst the
elementary school kids - from my friend,
an elementary school teacher. Comment by: jane
Don't know wth nards are but nads is
pretty common for gonads, i.e.
testicles, in all English speaking
countries. Comment by: Gretchen
Yeah, I've heard both. Comment by: victoria
It was always Nads - The first time I
heard Nards was after it was broadcast
on the Simpsons and Beavis and Buthead
un UK TV. Comment by: Dave B
(Non Educated Dilinquent) refers to young kids who are always up to no-good and going no where in life. Often found drunk with a bottle of Buckey's in hand.
"But the first time I stood by the banks of the Clyde.
I was so glad to have you standing back by my side.
I was so proud of what we were doing.
Me and you and a bottle of Buckie." [from the Song A Bottle of Buckie by Ted Leo And The Pharmacists]
a derogatory term used in Canada for a person from Newfoundland and Labrador.
The term is primarily used in "Newfie jokes," the typical Canadian ethnic joke (akin to Polish jokes in the U.S. or Belgian jokes in France).
While the term may be commonly used in a derogatory sense by those not from Newfoundland, many Newfoundlanders use the term with pride amongst themselves, not taking offense to it when used without intention to insult.
(Source: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Newfie is only used for someone from
Newfoundland, not Labador. A lot of
newfies don't like the people from
Labador.
Also, there was a huge thing going on
about the name of Newfound being changed
to Newfound and Labador. Comment by: Ashley
Newfies. We're Canadians too, y'know.
(as a take off on "Canadians. We're
Americans too, y'know.") Comment by: Nicholas
I never saw it as a derogatory term. I'm
from Ontario/Nova Scotia, so i hope it's
not a bad term. I think it's cool that
they have that name, if i say I'm an
Ontarian it just sounds weird. Comment by: melk
Here in Alberta we don't use it as a
derrogatory term, just as a shortening
to the word "Newfoundlanders" Comment by: Alice
Yeah....that depends on WHERE in Alberta
you're talking about. Go to places more
populated by the oilfield. It's like a
new racism. Comment by: E-dawg
I am looking to name a dish- it's mac &
cheese with cut up hot dogs. Is it
called "Newfie Stew"? Comment by: Kim
English slang for the Common Newt (aka the Spotted newt or the smooth newt)
evat/ nice? wtf is a newt ... common or
spotted? Comment by: james
A newt is a kind of lizard/salamander. Comment by: Hongroise
a newt is a small amphibious lizard
shaped creature that lives in areas with
lots of moisture but rarely living in
submersion for long periods of time
unless you count the mud puppies they
pretty much live in water full time.....
anyways they are a close relative to
the salamander in fact i think one is a
subspecies of the other but i cant
remember right now.... but yes its a
small slimy lizard looking thing. Comment by: camon
Sorry never heard the word nice used for
a newt. Maybe regional, definitely not
national. Comment by: hellsbells
What is the British fascination with
Newts, any way?
In the US, we have one Newt called
Gingrich, and the one is sufficient. Comment by: Downstrike
a newt is an ambhipian, and though
lizard like in shape, it is not related
to them. they are related to
salamanders, frogs, sirens, and toads.
theyre normally found under rocks or
logs in smallbodies of fresh water or in
the mud. they must keep their skin moist
or they will die.

A racist term for a black person. Comment by: Naomi
Also a term used by negro's to address
another negro.
"Wassap, n**ger?" Comment by: Mark Rated:5/5
A term used to describe someone who is
ignorant,
regardless of race or color. Only in the
last few
hundred years has it been used to
describe people
who are black who were know as moores
before
stupid slave owners decided that there
slaves were
stupid and ignorant therefore n**gers.
Obviously
this is not the case as there are many
great black
people remembered in history. Comment by: cameron
Not In My Backyard. Usually used for political conversations, for example, someone likes landfills, but doesn't want to live near one, therefore, "not in my backyard."
deragatory expression for a Japanese person. Common in World War II movies>
The Japanese call their country "nippon".
